Summer is a very busy time of the year and it flies by before you know it. Be sure to make some time for YOU! It's so important to get out there and be active, both physically active and active within your community. We have some fun events coming up in a few short months that can help you do that. We hope you'll participate!
The 20th Annual Mutt Strut
& Day of Fun
A family enjoying the day at last year's event with their four-legged best friend!
Our 20th Annual Mutt Strut & Day of Fun is scheduled for Saturday, August 23rd at Penitentiary Glen in Kirtland. This event is fun for the whole family… especially the dog! Proud animal lovers join us for this day of fun after
raising pledges for the homeless animals in our care. Guests will participate in a 1-mile walk for the animals, followed by a variety of games, activities and more! All proceeds benefit the injured, abused and abandoned animals at Lake Humane Society.

To help save lives and start raising pledges, create an online fundraising page or print out a pledge form and ask everyone you know to contribute! As a private, non-profit shelter, LHS relies solely on donations to care for thousands of animals each year.
Anytime Fitness in Concord's
Miles for Mutts 5K
Kelly, an Anytime Fitness member, has already registered for the 5K!
Our first ever Miles for Mutts 5K is scheduled for Saturday, September 27th. The race starts and ends at Anytime Fitness in Concord. This is the newest 5K in the area and what makes it so special is that 100% of the proceeds benefit the homeless animals in our care. We have partnered with our friends at Anytime Fitness in Concord to make this event possible.
