Please Help Us Save Lives

Here at Lake Humane Society we are holding a holiday donation drive for the animals in our care. We are asking for both monetary donations, as well as, donations of items on our Wish List. As many of you know, LHS is a private, non-profit animal shelter which receives no funding of any sort. We run strictly on donations from generous members of our community.

If you are interested in lending a helping hand during the holidays, here at some ways you can help:

  • Make a monetary donation. To make a donation online, click here.
  • Donate items we use to care for our animals.  Click here to view our wish list.
  • Become a Cage Sponsor.  Click here for more information.

Can't afford to donate, but still want to help? Your time is just as valuable to us! Here are some ways you can make a difference:
  • Become an LHS volunteer. Click here for more information.
  • Become an LHS foster. Click here for more information.

We hope you will consider helping us care for the hundreds of injured, abused and abandoned animals in our care at Lake Humane Society.

Lake Humane Society's Santa Paws

It's almost that time of year again!  We are hosting our annual Santa Paws here at our facility in Mentor on December 1st and 2nd from 12:00-4:30 p.m.  Each year proud LHS supporters bring their four-legged friends down to the shelter to get their photo taken with Santa!  Not only do guests leave happy with an adorable keepsake, but they also leave with warm hearts knowing they are helping the homeless animals of Lake County!  All proceeds of this event will benefit the injured, abused and abandoned animals that we care for each day.

Photos are $15 each or 2 for $20.  100% of proceeds will help us provide warmth, health and happiness for our animals throughout the holidays.  Santa Paws will also feature a bake sale and discounts on many items in our Pet Shop so you can do your Christmas shopping for your furry friend!
