Help Save the Homeless Animals of Lake County at Mutt Strut

Our 20th Annual Mutt Strut is just 3 weeks away. We are so excited to be celebrating 20 wonderful years of this event. Mutt Strut is our favorite fundraising event because we get to watch all of our supporters jump into action and raise money for the homeless animals in their community. It's truly inspiring to see people of all ages gather together after raising thousands of dollars for the animals in need.

It's not too late to start collecting donations for our shelter. No donation is too small and every dollar raised will go directly to the care of the animals here at LHS. Fundraisers have two options:

Once you've decided how you want to go about raising money, just start asking everyone you know to make a donation. Ask friends, family, neighbors, co-workers, whoever you can! You can ask them via e-mail or social media or face-to-face. The options are endless! To show our appreciation for our dedicated fundraisers, we are offering some awesome prizes. The more you raise, the more prizes you are eligible for. Our top fundraisers will also get additional gifts and will be announced at the event.

We hope you'll start raising money for our homeless animals and join us on August 23rd to celebrate all of your life-saving work! To learn more about Mutt Strut, click here!

We're Listening - Let Us Know How We're Doing!

Have you taken our survey yet? If not, please do! We want to know how we are doing. If you've recently stopped by our shelter and/or adopted from us, please take this survey and let us know how we did. The survey only takes a couple of minutes and we will use the results to determine our strengths and weaknesses and work on improvements. To get started, please click here!

We'd like to thank everyone who has taken the survey. We appreciate your input!

Get Active this Summer and Help Save Lives

Summer is a very busy time of the year and it flies by before you know it. Be sure to make some time for YOU! It's so important to get out there and be active, both physically active and active within your community. We have some fun events coming up in a few short months that can help you do that. We hope you'll participate!

The 20th Annual Mutt Strut
& Day of Fun
A family enjoying the day at last year's event with their four-legged best friend!

Our 20th Annual Mutt Strut & Day of Fun is scheduled for Saturday, August 23rd at Penitentiary Glen in Kirtland. This event is fun for the whole family… especially the dog! Proud animal lovers join us for this day of fun after raising pledges for the homeless animals in our care. Guests will participate in a 1-mile walk for the animals, followed by a variety of games, activities and more! All proceeds benefit the injured, abused and abandoned animals at Lake Humane Society. To learn more about this event, visit our website!

To help save lives and start raising pledges, create an online fundraising page or print out a pledge form and ask everyone you know to contribute! As a private, non-profit shelter, LHS relies solely on donations to care for thousands of animals each year.

Anytime Fitness in Concord's
Miles for Mutts 5K
Kelly, an Anytime Fitness member, has already registered for the 5K!

Our first ever Miles for Mutts 5K is scheduled for Saturday, September 27th. The race starts and ends at Anytime Fitness in Concord. This is the newest 5K in the area and what makes it so special is that 100% of the proceeds benefit the homeless animals in our care. We have partnered with our friends at Anytime Fitness in Concord to make this event possible. To learn more, visit our website!

Register Now: You can register online or mail in a registration form. Registration is $15 for Anytime Fitness Members and $20 for Non-Members. All proceeds benefit LHS.

We hope you will participate in these events to help save the lives of animals in need. We cannot do it without you! If you have questions, please contact our Marketing/Fundraising Coordinator, Mandy, at mosborne@lakehumane.org.
