Join LHS For A FREE Informational Presentation

We are hosting an informational presentation on Monday, May 18th at Mentor Public Library from 12:30-1:30PM. The presentation will focus on Ohio’s state and city animal cruelty laws that relate to shelter and tethering. Our presenters include DanaMarie Pannella, Associate Attorney at Holland & Muirden Attorneys at Law and Vicki Deisner, Midwest Legislative Director of the ASPCA.

This FREE presentation is open to the public and lunch will be provided to all guests. Guests are required to RSVP by May 17th in order to attend. Please RSVP to LPike@lakehumane.org. Seating is limited and the presentation is booking fast!

"Sheltering and tethering ordinances work hand-in-hand to create a better understanding of humane treatment towards animals and, ultimately, provide greater protections for companion animals living outside and the humans and animals that may come in contact with them. The implementation of these laws benefits our communities, law enforcement, and animals. We will discuss how law enforcement agencies and citizens can work with their own cities to adopt similar laws that promote animal protection beyond what state code provides." - DanaMarie Pannella

We hope you will join us at this presentation and continue to support our efforts to defend and protect the animals of Lake County.
