Save A Life - Adopt A Shelter Animal

Here at Lake Humane Society we have so many wonderful animals in need of homes. These animals come to our shelter for a variety of reasons. Many of them are injured, abused, neglected or abandoned.  We do everything we can to help the homeless animals in our community, but we can't help new animals until our current residents are adopted. That's where you come in!

Are you thinking about bringing a new pet into your home? If so, please make adoption your only option. We have so many animals for you to choose from. Here's a little preview:

Our New Year's Resolution: Find Homes For Them All

It is our New Year's Resolution to find loving homes for all of the animals in our care. We have many animals who have been so patiently awaiting their forever home. In order to encourage adoption, we are running a great special for the month of January. During this special, all kittens (under 6 months) can be adopted for just $50. Our adopters can name their own price on adoptions of adult cats (6 months and older).

Adopting a shelter animal is such a rewarding experience. Adopt an animal and they will be oh so thankful and they will love you forever!

Spread Some Holiday Cheer

Spread some holiday cheer to the homeless animals here at Lake Humane Society. We are currently providing food, water, shelter, love and medical attention to hundreds of animals. As you could imagine, a lot of supplies are needed in order to give these animals the proper care they deserve.

This holiday season, please consider making a donation to our cause. Whether you make a monetary donation or bring in some items for our critters, YOU are helping! Everyday we see animals who are abandoned, neglected, abused or forgotten about. It is especially heartbreaking during the holidays because all we want for each animal is for them to find a forever home.

You can help us care for our animals and find them homes!
Here is how you can help our animals:

Giving Tuesday: Make A Difference

Now that the Black Friday and Cyber Monday madness have passed, it's your chance to be part of a special movement called "Giving Tuesday".   Launched in 2012, Giving Tuesday is a nationwide push to kick off the holiday season with a day of giving back to causes that matter.

As a private, non-profit organization, Lake Humane Society relies solely on donations made by the community to fund their efforts to save lives and make a difference. Each year thousands of animals, whether they are stray, injured, abandoned or abused, come to Lake Humane for a second chance at a happy and healthy life. Without loyal supporters, like you, LHS could not continue to care for these innocent animals who so desperately count on them.

Start the holiday season off with the warm feeling of knowing you've made a difference in the life of a homeless animal here at Lake Humane Society. Please donate today

We are always in need of donated items in order to provide the care our animals need. If you'd prefer donating supplies, please view our wish list to get some ideas!

We thank you for your consideration and hope you will help us care for the homeless animals of Lake County.
