Lake Humane Society's Santa Paws

It's almost that time of year again!  We are hosting our annual Santa Paws here at our facility in Mentor on December 1st and 2nd from 12:00-4:30 p.m.  Each year proud LHS supporters bring their four-legged friends down to the shelter to get their photo taken with Santa!  Not only do guests leave happy with an adorable keepsake, but they also leave with warm hearts knowing they are helping the homeless animals of Lake County!  All proceeds of this event will benefit the injured, abused and abandoned animals that we care for each day.

Photos are $15 each or 2 for $20.  100% of proceeds will help us provide warmth, health and happiness for our animals throughout the holidays.  Santa Paws will also feature a bake sale and discounts on many items in our Pet Shop so you can do your Christmas shopping for your furry friend!

Looking For A Home - Moose

We'd like you to meet Moose, a 3-year-old Lab/Springer Spaniel mix.  Moose is very friendly, loving and gentle.  Moose does well with cats and children of all ages, but would be best as the only dog in the home.

Moose wants nothing more than a family who will love him unconditionally and give him the forever home he deserves.  Sadly, poor Moose has been returned not once, but twice.  His previous owners could no longer afford his care.

Most would think this would break his spirits, but Moose is still a happy and loving boy.  Moose is an all around great dog and he would be a joy to any family!

For more information on Moose, please feel free to contact our shelter at (440) 951-6122 or visit Moose during our normal Visiting Hours!

Help Us Save Lives

Here at Lake Humane Society we are overflowing with animals in need.  Animals that came to us after being injured, surrendered or abandoned.  In order to care for these animals and give them the second chance they deserve, we depend on the generous donations from our community.  Lake Humane Society is a private, non-profit organization that receives no government funding.  We are not funded or operated by any national humane organization.  All funding comes solely from generous members of our community with a love for animals.

There are many different ways you can help the animals in our care.  First, you can give a monetary donation using our website, or mail or drop off a donation.  You can also sponsor a cage in our facility in order to help cover some of the costs for that animal.  We are also in need of donated items for our animals, to see what we're in need of check out our Wish List!

Donating isn't currently an option for you?  That's okay! We have other opportunities available where you can still help the animals.  We are always looking for new volunteers to help with events, cleaning, animal care, clerical work, dog walking and so much more!  For more information, please click here!

For more information on how you can help our innocent animals, please visit our website!  We appreciate your support and thank you in advance!
