Featured Animal - Maverick

Maverick is an adorable 10 year old Shepherd mix.  He was surrendered to our shelter a few months ago and ever since he has been looking for a forever home!  You would never guess that Maverick is 10 because he loves to go outside, play and swim in the puppy pools with the other dogs during Canine Happy Hour.  Canine Happy Hour is from 3:00 - 4:00 each weekday where the staff can spend one-on-one time with the dogs of their choice in order to get to know them better.  Happy Hour is a shelter dog's favorite time of the day.  If you are interested in adopting Maverick, please visit our shelter or call us for more information!

If Maverick is not adopted before Mutt Strut this Saturday, he will be there to meet everyone and play!

We hope you can all come out to Mutt Strut to support our shelter!  We rely heavily on the support of our community and we hope to exceed our fund raising goal this year!

My Favorite Animal

Carey the intern here! I just wanted to write a little about my latest addition to my long list of favorite animals at the shelter. This young man has stolen my heart. His name is Romeo and his name clearly says it all. He is a handsome black and white cat with soft fur and the most beautiful eyes I have ever seen.
Lets not be vane though, because while his looks are great he has the personality to match. Of course, being Romeo and all, he is a big big lover and is always passing out kitty kisses. I usually like cats with lots of energy, but this one just loves to hang around and chill with you. As long as your giving him lots of attention and pets he will never leave your side. I hope Romeo will get adopted just as much as any other cat at the shelter. I am just lettting you know now, if you come visit lil Romeo he is sure to capture your heart and your home. Adopt him today and I promise you won't regret it.
